Maggie is a qualified independent Clinical Art Psychotherapist and Private Practitioner.  She completed her MA Art Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire and holds a First Class BSc(Hons) in Psychology with Criminology from Bucks New Uni.  She has worked extensively with children in primary, secondary, mainstream and specialist schools, helping pupils with their emotional and educational difficulties. Her clinical experience also includes working with people with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety.  She also has experience working with eating disorders, self harm, addictions and substance misuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, offending behaviour, homelessness, grief and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  She currently co-facilitates a group for adults who are homeless with learning disabilities, mental health, offending behaviour and substance misuse issues at a charity in London.  Her specialism is in delivering 1:1 and group art and creative play therapy interventions in a number of schools across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and London areas.

Maggie established Blue Pencil Art Therapy to provide art therapy provision for people of all ages who might otherwise be unable to access therapy.  By working collaboratively with other Art Therapists, and co-facilitators as appropriate, Blue Pencil Art Therapy is able to deliver therapeutic interventions, training and workshops in a variety of settings which can benefit individuals, groups and the wider community.

All Blue Pencil Art Therapists and co-facilitators take a person centred, systemic and integrative approach to psychodynamic therapeutic interventions.  As such Blue Pencil Art Therapy can provide a bespoke service, based on client need, using a combination of clinical expertise with a creative approach as appropriate.  We are driven by our philosophy to draw you closer to health and well being by empowering you to cope with life's challenges and engage more fully enabling you to achieve your full potential.
